If you are reading this, hopefully you have been notified of the charges pressed against you. Understand that you do have a chance at walking away deemed innocent, and that if you take the right steps, you very well might come away with a clean record.
First of all, as the defendant in a court case, you have certain privileges that a plaintiff does not have.
If you arrive late at your own trial due to being notified late, and a lawyer has already been assigned to you, you do have the right to change your lawyer, even after the Lawyer Selection Deadline (LSD).
If you arrive late at your own trial and wish to submit new evidence after the End of Discovery date, you may do so with no argument from the Internet Court of Law (ICL).
If you feel that you have been intentionally contacted late (or even left totally in the dark), the ICL can and will investigate the plaintiff for failing to attempt contact with the defendant.
Once you have taken care of business, the court will proceed as normal. Your trial will be listed under "Official ICL Court Cases". Keep in good contact with your lawyer. He will be the only one speaking for you in your case, and he can address all your questions and concerns. And if you feel the need to object at any point during the trial, you may do so by posting directly in the courtroom that you object, and what you object to/why.
Good luck in the trial.
